Playtex Moonwalk, London
This weekend we went to London to support my very special Auntie Chel who was taking part in the overnight 26.2 mile walk to raise money for Breast Cancer.
Well done Auntie Chel but what a shame that whilst you were raising money for a very important charity that some horrible person broke into my cousin Louise's house, ransacked it and then stole her car - and on her birthday too! I believe in what goes around comes around and so maybe one day the thief will need an emergency operation and perhaps the on- call operating theatre staff might not be able to get there on time because someone has stolen their car!!!
Surprise.....my crazy Uncle Nigel - what is he like!
Supporting my brilliant Auntie Chel in Hyde Park
The very funny Paul O Grady and my Auntie's group setting off..............
26.2 miles and ten hours later......you did it Auntie Chel, Congratulations
Well done everyone on "Walking the Walk"

a little disappointing for exploring on the boat, it was great for ski-ing!
Playing out on the Gulf of Mexico.
Here I am floating down the channel (the current is so strong you just float quickly down - its fun)
and me chatting with friends on Keywadin Island.
Camping out on the island.

Lots of play time out on the waters.

Canada
As promised here are a few photos of my Spring Break 09 visit to Canada
The CN tower is 553 metres tall and it has outdoor glass lifts that rush you up and down at six metres a second!
From the Sky pod you have an amazing view over the city of Toronto.
From the Space deck at a mere 447 metres high you step out onto the glass floor!!
Torontos downtown urban waterfront park - harbourfront.
I am now also able to tick off from my list another of the 'wonders of the world' that I have been fortunate enough to visit
- The Niagara Falls.
When I went racing in Thailand for the Kings Cup I told you it was the hottest place
I had ever been in my life ....... well Canada was the coldest - believe me!!!
Are you feeling the cold yet?
This is how cold it was - the tree branches all covered in ice
and this is a wrought iron fence just solid with ice!
My first ever and much valued sponsor Doug at AFX HELMETS lives in Canada
and always sends me photos of his weather and tells me how cold it is - well Doug now I know what you mean!
Fun at downtown Niagara's Guinness World Records
- and I think I am tall !!
Niagara-on-the-lake ....
This is a lovely little 19th century historic town we visited.

One other exciting thing I saw was the space shuttle discovery taking off from
Cape Canaveral - you can just see in my photo the trail of fire it left behind - how cool!

New Year 2008/09
On New Years Day we took up the Macclugage's recommendation and went up to Chrystal River and had an amazing day swimming with the Manatees.
Manatees are an endangered species that have been around for thousands and thousands of years.
Unfortunately many Manatees get injured by boaters so it is vital everyone follows the boaters rules and watches out....
This is what a Manatee looks like as its swimming just under the surface.
I had an amazing experience swimming with these beautiful wild animals, lets all help save the Manatees.

King's Cup, Thailand 2008
This year I got the fantastic opportunity to race at the King’s Cup in Thailand – WOW – it was so amazing. You can read my race report and view my race slideshow in my Racing News section. I loved every single minute of the whole experience and it is something I will never forget.
We started by having a few days holiday in Bangkok which were equally brilliant, when they say Bangkok is one of Asia’s most intriguing cities they aren’t wrong.
If you click on the photo above you will be able to see some of the sights we visited in Bangkok which included the Wat Phra Kaeo which was built in 1782 to house the most precious Buddha image and is Thailand's holiest temple, the Grand Palace once home to the Royal family and Wat Pho which is Bangkok's oldest and largest temple and houses the countries longest reclining Buddha which is 151 feet long and 50ft high so when it looks big on my photos it is!! They were all stunning. You can see we also took a boat down the Chao Phraya River which gave me a glimpse of traditional Thai lifestyle.
One of the funniest things was our first ride in a Tuk-Tuk – you should have seen my mum’s face, all I could do was laugh so much it hurt. In the evenings we met some lovely people like Lawrence from Melbourne and his friends Gemma and co from Scotland and we visited Pat Pong and Pratunam Market.
I was also invited to Chanel 3 studios to do a feature interview for their morning show (like our GM TV). I was very nervous about it but I didn’t need to be as the whole team soon made me feel at home. They had a make up artist, a hairstylist and a custom made Thai costume complete with Thai jewellery especially for me. The interview was showed over several days. This is also an experience I will never forget, Thank you everyone at Chanel 3.
If you click on the photo above you will be able to see some of the days events.
After a great time in Bangkok we went to Pattiya where the racing was held and we continued to have a great time. Unfortunately their was a people for democracy dispute which closed Bangkok airport for a week which meant many racers couldn't arrive on their planned flights and had to make alternative arrangements to reach Pattiya so the TJSBA changed the racing schedule to allow time for the racers to arrive which meant we had more time to explore the area and we went to several different beautiful islands including the National Park which you can see if you click on the photo below.
Finally I finished off my amazing holiday in Thailand with a great celebration night out with friends, it was such a good laugh. If you click on the photo below of us in a bar that was minus 16 degrees (yes in Thailand - we didn't stay long!!!) you will be able to share some of the memories with me.
Many Many Thanks to the wonderful people of Thailand and all the lovely people we met - we had just the most amazing time. It is on my wish list to return!
JSRA Presentation Evening
November the 1st was our AGM and presentation evening for the 2008 British Championships. During the whole event there were many kind words and various fund raising events for our missing friend Jeremy Holland. All the money raised will go direct to the find Jeremy Fund, everyone is praying for his safe return as soon as possible.
Congratulations to all the pilots and everyone who competed throughout the season and many thanks to everyone at the JSRA for all the hard work involved in putting on the events. For a slideshow of photos from the event just click on my photo above and it should take you to the photos.
These are two of the very special awards given out - first to my very good friends Kerry and Geoff in recognition of all the support they give to the sport in the UK, Europe and at the World Finals - they are certainly always there for me, thank you. Secondly to Dave Stuart of Xtreme action images in recognition of all his hard work and dedication to the sport over many years. Sadly Dave had a couple of heart attacks this year so has retired from taking photos of us all at every race meeting but we hope to keep seeing Dave at local races. Thanks Dave for some great action shots, we miss you.
Jeremy Hoyland
It is with great sadness that whilst I was on holiday we heard the very very sad news that Jeremy had gone missing whilst out on a jet ski in Bali. Jeremy had just been race directing at the World Finals and we had had several fun conversations with him in Havasu and he was really excited about going to Bali with his friend Bob Crabtree to be a race official at the Asian Olympic games. We are constantly keeping Jeremy, Jacquie, Elleana and Georgia in our thoughts and hope and pray for his safe return as soon as possible.
Together with many other jet skiers around the world we have kept a candle burning since Jez went missing. We have to keep the light burning and be positive for Jezs safe return. Many thanks to everyone who is helping in the search to bring Jeremy home safe to his family and friends.
Holiday in Naples, Florida
After the World Finals my very special Mum and Dad needed a break as they really have given so much of their time both getting me to water to practice and getting me to as many racers as possible so we took a holiday to recover in Florida. Here are a few photos...
Dad and I with Sticki & Moto - our holiday hire dogs!
Our crazy USA friends - Sharon, Ray and Mickey.
A beautiful dolphin swimming alongside the boat.
Mum and me catching a few rays on Keywaden Island.
Happy Halloween!
Sportsperson of the Year
Whilst I was out at the World Finals I learnt that I had been awarded the Sportsperson of the year for my local area which was a lovely surprise. Unfortunately I was out in Havasu at the time but my number one fans my Uncle Nigel & family collected the award in my absence. Thank you to everyone involved in awarding me this special award.

Well finally it's result time and thank you to everyone for asking how I got on, for my cards, messages and pink Champagne. It was a big relieve to open the envelope and see that I had got myself 12 GCSE's A* to C grades - I am very happy. We spent New Years Eve at Sea World in Florida and look who we met up with!
Christmas 2007
As you know last Christmas I lost my very special Grandma so Christmas will never be the same for us. Christmas was my grandma’s favourite time of year and we went along to the USA where we have shared many a happy Christmas with Grandma and infact the very best family Christmas ever just the year before we suddenly lost grandma. We thought lots about the good times and laughs we had shared and we had a lovely holiday. At the Christmas Eve carol service on the beach that my Grandma loved so much, we lit a special candle for her.
Derbyshire Young Achievers Award
To finish my amazing 2007 year off I was delighted to accept a Derbyshire Young Achievers Award. I was nominated for this award by my college who say that I was nominated not only for my sporting achievements but for the fact that my extra-curricular activities do not stop me from doing well in my studies (doesn’t feel like that at the moment though as I am right in the middle of exams, exams, exams!!!!).
The award ceremony took place in Matlock and as Insight magazine sum it up “it was a glittering ceremony full of tears, smiles and pride. The event was compared by Ram FM presenters J and Ruth Terry and the awards were presented by Councillor Joyce Saunders and Gareth Jones, presenter of TV shows How2 and Tomorrows World”.
Paris Boat Show

The lake was such fun and we, that's Laurent, Thomas, Michel, Valentine, Lou, Brice, Dillan, Franki, Chrystal, Karin, Vicky etc had our own little races. We also all camped, partied, go-karted etc too - LOL !!! All the skier's at the lake made me so welcome -
