very tragically Ellenor's dad (a very well known figure in the Jet Ski World Jeremy Hoyland) went missing at sea in October

and in his memory Ellenor has started racing in the British Club Championship - well done Ellenor & Good Luck.

Jingh is currently riding in the Club Championship and will hopefully move up to the British Championship.

Sophie is currently GB's only Girl Power Junior Racer - Good Luck Sophie for the 2009 season.

Rachel MacCluggage (Bobs Daughter) who now lives in Lake Havasu and who has just returned to racing - Girl Power Rachel.

and Jim Goodchild - many times World Champion and our current Race Director both getting on board with Girl Power.

Lauran Smith is our new runabout Girl Power rider in the UK. Last year she competed in the UK's club racing and loved it - good luck Lauran.

Emily is currently competing in the new UK stock class on her HSR. Good Luck Emily and Good Luck waiting for your GCSE Exam results at the end of August - It's a long wait isn't it!

This is Sophie Perrin - our excellent little UK junior rider who competes on her SXR - Good Luck Sophie.

Also competing in the UK is Rhian and Charlotte who are both competing in the Junior class.

Lisa Barsby - as well as taking a very active part in running the JSRA is competing in as many rounds in the Ltd and GP class as possible and is competing in Europe too.

Ria is taking a year out this year - Congratulations to Ria and Phil on their news.

In Europe this year Audrey is also taking a year out - Congratulations to you and Thomas on your wonderful news too. Also many congratulations to Tina & Sandreno on your lovely news too. What Girl Power!

Vicky, Julie, Lisa, Yuki, Stefania, Marine, Pija, Irina, Maddison, Mannon, Jennifer, Laura and Crac are all competing again this year so Good Luck Girls and lets show those boys how to race. I hope many more girls will be competing too - so watch this space.

Here is Kylie from New Zealand who retained her title of Womens Runabout World Champion at the 2008 World Finals. Kylie rides a Skippy boat.

I am probably the oldest fan of Girl Power. I am 58 years old. The first British racer I ever followed was a girl. Lisa Barsby. I think it was in 1994. I was just getting back on my feet from a broken back that happened when a runaway ski hit me while standing on the beach at a National Tour Stop. Lisa and I had been corresponding and I asked if she would like to stay at my home here in Lake Havasu when she competed for the World Finals. The following year I was fortunate enough to have a very young 11 year old by the name of Alex Fielder sit with me and show me who the top British and European riders were. The following year I had the good fortune to have a young 10 year old named James Goodchild help me further with the British riders. They all educated me and soon I became a huge fan of England. I watched Jordan Fielder on paper only from the time he was 10. He became my hero and I love him dearly to this day. At every race in the United States and at Body Beach I fly the Union Jack in honour of all British Racers.

The Girl Power phenomenon is the most fantastic movement I have ever seen. After being such a huge fan of Lisa Barsby, Lindsey Billingham, Vicky Beale and Ria Picard it is so rewarding to watch young women organize and come together in support of each other and.....Bushey. Watching all of you at the World Finals is exciting. You just get wrapped up and swept away in all the excitement.

I hope you will consider me an honorary member of such a prestigious group.

Girl Power!!! Rock On!

This weekend was a great weekend – it was a Girl Power Weekend at Nitrojet in Oxford. Following the success of last years event Dawn Jolleys organised “Girls that Ride 2” and that together with the Hydrospace Hospitality meant we had a fun time. I hope the article will be covered in Jet Skier Magazine so watch out for a review of all the weekends fun. I would like to say thank you to Dawn, Guy & Faith, all the Hydrospace Team and everyone who made the weekend such fun. I look forward to Girls that ride 3 Dawn.
